Match the desk to the room, not only the title

Executive desks are often selected by appearance first, but the room must still support circulation, visitor seating and cabinet access. Record the clear room dimensions, door swing, window position and any fixed power or data point before choosing a model.

A larger worktop may also include a side return or supporting cabinet. Treat the complete footprint as the planning dimension.

  • Main desk length and depth
  • Return orientation and length
  • Chair pull-back space
  • Guest seating clearance
  • Cabinet door and drawer access

Use verified model dimensions

The same design family may be available in several sizes. Quote the model and selected size together. If the product page shows more than one dimension, the final size must be confirmed in the RFQ and order documents.

For example, BG-2660 lists several main desk options, while BG-2660L is an L-shaped manager desk with different planning requirements. These are related designs but not interchangeable footprints.

Add storage and cable needs to the brief

State whether the room needs a mobile pedestal, fixed side cabinet, back cabinet or display storage. Also identify desktop cable access and the location of floor or wall power. This helps avoid a visually suitable desk that conflicts with the actual room services.

Turn the guide into a model quotation.

Send model numbers or a room schedule, quantities, destination and timing. BG will confirm the next commercial step.

Frequently asked questions

Is an L-shaped desk measured like a straight desk?

No. Record both sides of the L-shaped footprint and confirm the return orientation so the desk fits the planned wall, door and circulation layout.

Should a buyer select one size for every manager room?

Only when the rooms are truly repeatable. Otherwise group rooms by clear dimensions and select a suitable size for each group.
